- fri, feb.29: halau meeting (optional)... will be both informational and some brainstorming regarding ho`ike 2008, so come with comments, questions, ideas/suggestions... and food :) it's a potluck.

- sat, mar.01: hula protocol seminar at the long beach westin (optional, but kumu-recommended)... ellen says she has heard this speaker before and he is very good.

It is with great sadness that I say "aloha `oe" to Steven Clark. Steve was 27 years old and leaves a three year old daughter, Whitney.

Steve has been active in volunteering his services in helping veterans and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him. He will be sorely missed, but will live on as inspiration for many. Click here (and select segment 6) to watch a very touching video produced by the NVF that features Steve and the incredible work that he did on behalf of homeless veterans.

Donations may be made in Steve's name to the National Veterans Foundation at 9841, Airport Blvd., Suite 512, Los Angeles Ca 90045.
