Aloha makua!
Well...it's May. I have had a couple of thoughts regarding E hula mau, rehearsals, and hotel reservations. Here they are:
1. What days are we all available to rehearse? It would be best if we can pick a day or two that we all can commit to attend. I know it's hard for working adults, but it will save us stress in the end. Honestly...I'm willing to adjust my schedule to meet the needs of all you parents out there. :o)
2. Do we want to book a block of rooms at the Best Western? If so...we should do that soon.
3. Perhaps we should schedule a makua meeting, where we can discuss matters that apply to us and get questions answered. Perhaps we should meet all of us, figure out what our questions/needs are & then go to Auntie & Uncle from there? Just a thought.
4. I was talking to Carole Glass in class last week about scheduling a makua/craft making/hang out get together. She mentioned Memorial Day weekend. Who's in? (I'll have to check with her again as I am volunteering her house. hee hee)
I think that's it right now. What are all your thoughts?

heather! miss you!!! i'm so outta the loop... did they announce the final competition line-up? i heard uncle did, but auntie didn't seem so sure... and uncle also didn't seem sure of his song choice. as far as rehearsals go, i'm good for saturdays @ 12:30 and then one of the weekday evenings (7:30 or later). as far as rooms, let's get a final head count and who wants to share and who wants their own room. let's do an "acapulco" meeting sometime next week! i think we should discuss craft-making at the meeting, because there are a couple crafts that we need to do with the entire halau anyway (lei, tahitian costumes)... heatherrr, DO THE TAHITIAN CLASS! you know you wanna shake it!
Ha ha ha! I was just thinking about starting to take the tahitian class. You're a mind reader. Ok...who wants to organize the Acapulco meeting? Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday work for me.

Wednesday or Thursday work for me if you want to do Acapulco. Just so you know - my hubby Bill jumped the gun about a week ago, and booked a room for the two of us at the Best Western just like last year, because rooms went fast. Liz also did some research and found best prices, so if you all book - she will have info for you. It would be awesome if we were all at the same hotel this year!
