I also found the very same on Huapala, after floundering for the name. I did find a great pictorial of limu "edible LIMU ... Gifts from the sea" at: www.hawaii.edu/reefalgae/publications/ediblelimu/index.htm
Which sparks another question. Is there a function on this site for a file called... mele / lyrics / research related to?
[I missed the computer generation and have searched the the makua blog "dashboard" and don't see it] are you computer savvy? it might be helpful for the newcomers, such as I, to augment the information given at class.

What a great idea to add that. Nina has painstakingly taken our hula book and retyped all the songs that she's been given.
Nina, what's the possibility of just attaching the book to our makua page? Or should we check with Aunty & Uncle first? I'm thinking maybe so.
Anyway, great suggestion Ivy. I'll follow-up.
ok, see what had happened was... i took a basic computer class and the one day i was absent was the day they covered web hosting... then, i took an intermediate computer class... and had a baby... and that was the end of that class. (i actually have free web hosting as a student of CSULB, but i really have no clue as how to use it)... so what i'm saying is... unless you [ricki or someone else] know how to attach a file to this blog, i don't know how else to upload the file. HOWEVER, here's a link that maile is probably referring to: http://www.huapala.org/
i copied MANY of the lyrics in our notebook from this site, so if you could put that link somewhere on the main page, that might be a helpful resource.
i'll try to make it a goal to figure out a way to have an online link to the halau folder.
